Graduate Software Engineer – Gaming - Python / Lua
Location: Surrey
Salary: £18K - £25K
Necessary Requirements:
The successful applicant to the post of Graduate Software Engineer will have a strong knowledge of Python or Lua as well as C, C++ or JavaScript. You will manage current as well as new sub systems within games platforms and contribute to all areas of the product development. The Role:
Our client is an expanding developer and licensor of next generation game technologies that are predominantly browser based. Our client is taking advantage of the current market shift from the traditional software that is packaged to the digital genre and remote playing in order to develop games hosted in the browser and is rapidly expanding as a result. Successful candidates will have a strong academic background including a Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics. Knowledge of game disciplines such as graphics, physics, collision or Artificial Intelligence (AI) is also required as well as a passion for playing games.
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate who is looking to create cutting edge game engines and web applications that will help define the future and push the boundaries for future game development
The Candidate:
• Essential: Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics. Knowledge of game disciplines such as graphics, physics, collision or Artificial Intelligence (AI) Expert in Python or Lua • Desirable: Enthusiastic and outgoing personality with a strong attention to detail. Knowledge of low-level systems such as assembly language or GPU optimisations
