Graduate Support Technician / IT Support Location: Dorset Salary: 18-20K Dep. On Experience The Company Our client is a software house based in the South West who provides a diverse range of products and solutions to prestigious clients worldwide. The Role We are looking for an enthusiastic graduate with experience in IT Support looking to take their next step in the Technical Support services. The right candidate will join an exceptional team and be involved in all aspects of technical support but in addition will be expected to assist with other related internal and external issues. This role will suit someone from a helpdesk or IT Technician background looking for a new challenge and more responsibility. Although training will be provided to ensure excellent product knowledge, you will be expected to use your own initiative when approaching new projects. Qualifications and Experience • Degree level qualification in Computer Science or closely related. • Experience in an IT based support role. Technical Skills Required (Essential) • Strong working knowledge of SQL. • Exposure to or basic networking knowledge. • Knowledge of relational database management systems. • Good working knowledge of current Windows desktop OS (XP, Vista, Windows 7). Technical Skills (Desirable) • Scripting Languages knowledge (E.G. VB). • Any basic knowledge of .NET in C# / VB.
