Job Description
Responsibilities:

PMS – Product and Development

· Take concept and develop into process with specialists from Meru.
· Take process and develop into Process Flow format.
· Support equipment and tools definition with Development centre.
· Develop PFMEA with UAP.
· Attending non-injection tooling pre-studies, which are held in the Development centre.
· Check equipment and tools specifications according to UK/European regulations and group standard.
· Manage project documentation: e.g. project timing plans, budgets.
· Tooling/machine trial checklists are completed, and follow up on any outstanding issues before tool launch to toolmakers.
· Attend the pre-production tool trials at the suppliers to ensure Customer targets can be achieved.
· Record problems identified at the trials at the suppliers on PDCA sheets, and ensure they are closed before the next trial.
· Raise LUPAQ’s / PDCA, if a cross-functional team will be required to resolve the problems.

PMS – Production set-up and pre-series

· Ensure that MPT trials are carried out on & off site and subsequently the results are recorded on the MPT trial sheets.
· Develop MIFA.
· Develop & implement plant layout.
· Record any concerns on tooling and equipment which affect design / safety / Quality of the product.
· Monitor equipment supplier progress.
· Ensure that all documents are available prior to tool transfers.
· Provide all relevant information to ensure tools and equipment transfer.
· Ensure installation of equipment in plant.
· Plan tools and equipment trials with UAP.
· Plan contingency plan with UAP for series production.
· Perform production trial run MPT with UAP and ensure results are recorded on MPT trial documents.
· Ensure that shop floor documentation is completed to enable personnel to carry out their roles effectively (standard operations, setting sheets, start up doc.)
· Support training of the relevant personnel on any new processes, which are being introduced to the plant.
· Develop spare parts lists & TPM schedules.
· Manage equipment documentation.
· Ensure H&S approval with risk assessments completed.

PMS – Production set-up and pre-series

· Optimise production process in order to achieve PV during ramp-up and peak volume.
· Update standard operation / process document.
· Sign off process into production.
