MACHINE SETTER OPERATOR (Vertical Borer) – Poole - £neg
Machine Setter Operator required operating vertical boring machines and to complete individual operations on a full range of products in mainly detail work.
Our client is at the forefront of manufacture, design & development of advanced products for ships and offshore facilities.
Our clients is seeking a Machine Setter Operator (Vertical Borer) to set-up and operate vertical boring machines.
The majority of work will be small batch productions using both fabrications and castings involving a range of materials (steel, cast iron, leaded gunmetal and bronze etc)
Appropriate experience is preferred, in using the prescribed fixtures, together with the ability to demonstrate accurate concentric alignment of components to achieve required tolerance levels. Candidates are likely to have undertaken a recognised apprenticeship culminating in the achievement of a City & Guilds (or similar) certificate.
This is a dayshift position.
If candidates are willing and able to do nightshift work, this will be discussed in further detail, but it is not a pre-requisite.
Being physically fit, and highly flexible, the candidate will adapt easily to change and in particular, be prepared to undertake in-house training to develop their skills.
Salary
Up to £20,750 per annum (£10.24 ph)
