Mandarin Speaking Chemist – Colour Technologist
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £25-31K
Our Client is a specialist Green producer of pigments and inks for surface coatings, paper and plastics.
Due to recent expansion into the Chinese market they seek a Technologist to work alongside the Commercial Manager to support new business development and provide ink and pigment solutions to new customers. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to travel extensively to new client markets and also be involved in product development.
Main Responsibilities:
• The successful applicant will be required to investigate the properties and performances of additives, resins and pigments in a variety of different applications. • To develop new resins and varnishes • To build up relationships with existing customers and partners • To promote the product ranges in the market place identifying, where possible, new technological and commercial opportunities
Essential Requirements:
• Degree/Masters/PhD in Chemistry • Bilingual in English and Mandarin • Strong knowledge of organic chemistry • Knowledge/Experience working with pigments, resins in inks, coatings and plastics industries • You will have excellent organisational and communication skills
