Manufacturing Engineer. Manufacturing Engineer with production engineering expertise, facilitating cost reduction programmes, promoting Design for Manufacture (DFM) within the project teams.
Duties:
· Provide the business with production engineering expertise, meeting cost reduction expectations and maximising the use of appropriate resources. · To promote Design for Manufacture within project teams, taking responsibility for the new product introduction process. · To support manufacturing operations during contract execution by providing an interface to the engineering organisation. · To develop and maintain manufacturing techniques and standards in support of current projects and future technology developments. · To develop appropriate external manufacturing partners in support of our ongoing business opportunities. Requirements:
· Educated to Degree/HND level · Experience in a similar position in an manufacturing/engineering environment · Excellent communication skills both written and verbal · Good IT skills · Motivated and driven self starter · Ability to achieve cost reduction targets and completing projects within constraints
