Job Description
Principal Engineer/Combustion Equipment. Principal Engineer to develop and design combustion equipment for the firing of coal, oil & gaseous fuels in utility boilers, provide technical expertise internally and externally on the subject, provide competitive proposal designs and a post-contract troubleshooting capability, present to and influence prospective and existing customers and to eventually assume control for this area of business and provide a full technical capability within the company.
KEY DUTIES:
· Provide a comprehensive design and advice service on the subject to ensure safe and fit for purpose designs of all combustion equipment components · Maintain and enhance the company’s design processes, capability and reputation · Undertake travel (UK & overseas) several times a year to present and liaise with customers and to test and troubleshoot if and when necessary · Develop new combustion equipment designs to ensure that the company remains at the forefront of combustion technology · Provide supervision for a small team
