Reliability & Maintainability Engineer - North Wales
Our client is a market-leading international corporation providing the defence industry with groundbreaking optical equipment and systems.
Job Outline:
New and exciting post where you will be responsible for providing a professional reliability, maintainability and obsolescence assessment capability throughout the design, development and manufacture of company products.
Key Responsibilities:
· To be involved during the Design phase to ensure that product reliability features are considered in the design of products. · Ensuring that product components and products are tested for reliability and maintainability so that we can resolve issues before they are detected by our client’s customers. · Calculating the reliability of products to provide information to the customers and to allow for spares planning. · Manage obsolescence issues · Working with the Quality Engineers to ensure that product reliability is improved · Working with Purchasing to ensure that the consequences of obsolescence are mitigated at the design stage · Working with Purchasing to ensure that the consequences of obsolescence are mitigated at the design stage
Personnel Specification:
To apply for this role you must be educated to degree level or equivalent and will be mathematically numerate and have excellent knowledge of statistics. Reliability Engineer experience is also essential.
Knowledge of optics and precision mechanics would be advantageous.
Remuneration: Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 (depending on capabilities and experience) Benefits: Private Health Care, Company Pension, 25 days holiday.
