Senior Metallurgist / Principle Metallurgist – Petrochemical – London
Location: Central London
Salary: £60 - £65K
Necessary Requirements: Successful candidates to the post of Senior / Principle Metallurgists will have experience of typical corrosion mechanism found in the petrochemical industry as well as good understanding of mitigation measures.
The Role Our client is a provider of specialist global technologies to the oil & gas sector. You will be responsible for providing materials expertise to the company and for the selection of cost effective materials for all our clients process systems.
The Senior / Principle Metallurgist will be responsible for all aspects of insulation, cladding and coatings and therefore will play a pivotal role in advising on the relevant manufacturing procedures.
At times the Senior / Principle Metallurgist will undertake consultancy work for 3rd parties and external clients.
Essential: Previous experience of corrosion mechanisms within the petrochemical / oil & gas industry. A strong working knowledge of manufacturing procedures, materials failure investigations and / or material testing programmes.
Desirable: Previous experience of providing materials training for graduates and other members of staff.
